Is the app free?
Yes. Nijanand App is completely free. There are no advertisements, no subscriptions, and no account or sign-up of any kind.
I am not receiving notifications
Notifications tell you when a new Charcha, bhajan or event is added. If they are not arriving, open your device Settings, find Nijanand App, and make sure notifications are allowed. Check that Focus or Do Not Disturb is switched off. Then open the app once while connected to the internet, which re-registers your device.
Your device asks for notification permission only once. If it was declined then, it must be re-enabled from Settings.
The audio stops when I lock my screen
Playback is designed to continue while your screen is locked or while you use another app. If it stops, check that battery saver or low power mode is not restricting the app in the background.
How do I listen or read offline?
Tap Download on any bhajan, book or photograph. Saved items appear under Downloads and open without an internet connection. They stay on your device until you remove them.
Content is not loading
The app fetches Vani, Mukhvani, Charcha, bhajans and photographs from our website. If a screen is empty, check your internet connection and use the Retry button. If the problem continues, please write to us.
How do I free up space?
Open Downloads and remove anything you no longer need. Removing a download does not remove it from the app. You can download it again at any time.
I found a mistake in the content
Please tell us. Send the section and the item name to the email above and we will have it corrected.
Which devices are supported?
Nijanand App runs on iPhone and iPad, and on Android phones and tablets.
Why does the Quiz ask for my details?
Your name, email address and mobile number are submitted with your quiz answer so we can identify who sent it. Taking part is entirely optional — every other part of the app works without giving us any details.
The app does not require an account or sign-up. If you choose to submit a quiz answer, your name, email address and mobile number are sent to us along with your answer — this is optional, and nothing else in the app asks for your details. Your downloads are stored on your own device.
To deliver notifications, the app registers an anonymous device token with Firebase Cloud Messaging. This token identifies the device, not you, and is used only to send announcements.
