Improving Drug RespOnse Polygenic Risk Scores
Improving Drug RespOnse Polygenic Risk Scores
I-DROPS is an NIHR-funded team science award bringing together statisticians, behavioural scientists, research nurses and patient representatives from the University of Liverpool and King's College London.
I-DROPS aims to develop new methodology for the calculating drug response polygenic risk scores (PRS), a measure that estimates how likely someone is, based on their genetics, to respond to a particular medication. I-DROPS will apply this approach to antidepressant treatment, helping to understand why responses to these drugs vary so much between individuals.
