Nihongo Garden: JLPT Quiz Card

Nihongo Garden is a Japanese vocabulary learning app for JLPT N5-N1. The app is designed to work without user accounts and does not collect personal data from users.
Data Collection
Nihongo Garden does not collect, store, sell, or share personal information.
The app does not collect:
Name, email address, phone number, or contact information
Location data
Photos, videos, microphone recordings, or camera data
Advertising identifiers
Analytics data
Browsing history
User account information
Tracking
Nihongo Garden does not track users across apps or websites owned by other companies.
The app does not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
Local App Data
Some learning preferences are saved only on the user’s device, such as:
Selected JLPT level
Selected language mode
Favorite words
Custom favorite lists
Music on/off preference
Learning progress inside the app
This information stays on the user’s device and is not sent to the developer or any external server.
In-App Purchases
Nihongo Garden offers optional one-time in-app purchases to unlock JLPT levels.
Purchases are processed securely by Apple through the App Store. The developer does not receive or store payment card details.
Japanese Pronunciation
The app may use the device’s built-in speech system to pronounce Japanese words. No microphone recording is used.
Third-Party Content and Attribution
Nihongo Garden includes Japanese learning data adapted from open vocabulary sources. Attribution and license information are provided inside the app.
Children’s Privacy
Nihongo Garden does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the app does not collect user data, no personal data from children is stored or shared.
Data Deletion
Because Nihongo Garden does not collect personal data, there is no personal data stored on our servers to delete.
Users can delete local app data by deleting the app from their device.

Android update — October 2, 2026
This policy also covers the Android version distributed through Google Play. On Android, optional one-time purchases are processed by Google Play, and the app uses Google Play Billing to check purchase status, acknowledge completed purchases, unlock purchased content and restore purchases. We do not receive your payment card details or billing address. Purchase entitlements and study preferences are stored locally on your device. The app does not send this information to a developer-operated server. Google may provide aggregate app statistics and crash diagnostics through Play Console under Google’s privacy policy.
