I am originally from Ahmedabad, India. I earned my undergraduate bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Institute of Technology, Nirma University and in my final year, I secured admission for my postgraduate studies at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) through the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) where I pursued master’s in Computational and Data Science graduating with the highest CGPA in the batch. I currently work as an Engineer at Qualcomm in the XR Perception Systems team, writing production-grade code, solving interesting engineering problems, and learning something new almost every day, building technology that makes a difference.
At IISc my interests naturally converged and I discovered my passion for working at the intersection of AI/ML, Quantum Computing (QC), High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Numerical Methods. I've always been drawn to interdisciplinary work and believe that the most meaningful breakthroughs emerge at the intersection of disciplines, where diverse perspectives come together to solve challenging problems and that interdisciplinary research is key to solving the complex challenges of tomorrow. I am very passionate about applying AI/ML, QC, and High-Performance Computing (HPC), Numerical Methods to solve fundamentally hard engineering and scientific problems and engineering solutions contributing to breakthroughs that advance science and meaningfully impact billions of lives positively at scale.
During my academic training, I had the opportunity to explore a broad range of subjects, including Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL), Computer Vision (CV), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Generative AI, Graph Neural Networks (GNNs), Reinforcement Learning (RL), Quantum Computing (QC), and High-Performance Computing (HPC). Along the way, I also built a strong mathematical foundation through coursework in Numerical Linear Algebra, Numerical Optimization, Probability and Statistics, and numerical methods for solving differential equations, including the Finite Difference (FDM), Finite Element (FEM), and Finite Volume (FVM) methods.
I am driven by curiosity and a strong desire towards teaching and imparting knowledge. My interests lie at the intersection of Physics (classical mechanics, quantum mechanics, statistical physics), Mathematics (real, complex, functional analysis, number theory), and Computer Science (Data Strcuture and Algorithms, Complexity theory and Information theory), with a particular focus on applying AI/ML, Quantum Computing and HPC for solving some of the most challenging scientific and engineering problems.
My goal is to contribute to interdisciplinary research publishing impactful work for the better of humanity in top-tier venues, with the long-term ambition of pursuing a Ph.D. at leading institutions such as MIT, Stanford, CMU, Princeton, or Caltech.
Beyond my primary research interests, I have a strong passion for reading across disciplines, including Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Polity, Mythologies and World History. I am particularly fascinated by Nobel Prize winning discoveries in Physics and Chemistry, as well as Fields Medal winning work in Mathematics.
I also enjoy engaging in deep problem-solving and discussions inspired by competitions such as the Putnam, INMO, and IPhO experiences that continuously fuel my curiosity and drive to learn.
