The Network of Industrial Economists is the oldest UK network for academic economists and practitioners with interest in industrial economics and policy. Having been established in the 1970s it has evolved as a forum for discussion about academic research but also for interactions between members from academia, business, consultancy and government agencies. In recent years the network has contributed to the organisation of two conferences a year: a conference for established researchers and the NIE doctoral students colloquium.
