Research Interests

Nanotechnology based on GRAPHENE and CONDUCTING POLYMERS for:

  • Sensing and bio-sensing devices: Synthesis of graphene based nanocomposites for the sensing of harmful chemicals or vital biomolecules, using either electrochemical or optical sensing techniques.

  • Energy storage devices and supercapacitors: Applications of graphene and conducting polymers based nanomaterials for the fabrication of energy storage devices.

  • Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) shielding materials: Synthesis of nanomaterials and their applicability as shielding materials to block harmful EM waves in Radar and antennas safety applications in Defence.

  • Hydrogen generation and storage, electro-catalysis, identifying DNA mismatching, for DNA-Protein separation techniques and synthesizing graphene quantum dots (GQDs) for unlike sensing techniques.
