My name is Nicoletta Proto and I am a 4th year Interior and Environmental design student at the University of Dundee (DJCAD). As well as design, I have a huge interest in travelling and experiencing different cultures. Due to being half Finnish and half Italian, I have already gotten to experience a handful of different cultures and am very influenced and motivated by the design and architecture in both of these countries. Travelling so much means I can find design inspiration from the places i visit. 

My semester in Milan (Politecnico di Milano) taught me a lot about design and how it's different in each country by not only the style but also in the way that it is taught. I learnt so much from both the teachers and the students there and I believe it has made me overall more open minded and well rounded as a designer.

I am also creative person in other ways than just design. I have done figure skating since age 7 and have spent periods of my life involved in other artistic sports such as dance, aerial arts, cheerleading, gymnastics and trampolining. I believe these things have compelled me to work hard and strive to be the best I can be.
