Teaching with Zoom

Prepare for Zoom Instruction

• Practice using Zoom in Advance

• Review your host controls and meeting settings

• Consider making slides or discussion questions available in advance

• Anticipate potential challenges

Using screen sharing to share your screen or slides as you speak

• Display the agenda

• Narrate the material that you're displaying on the screen

• Post discussion questions in your slides

Use the tools in Zoom to connect regularly with students 

• Use chat to troubleshoot technical problems

• Check chat often

• Use chat, polls, or breakout roomes to engage students in discussions

• Use other software to engage with students

Ask students to use Zoom and collaborate or present
