Weekly Reports
5/15/2021: Team 5 has finished up the project and is wrapping up the IEEE formatting
5/10/2021: The team has made immense progress and should finish their report on SMART devices very soon.
5/03/2021: Group 5 worked on a proposal for our final project. The team decided to do a thorough and intense study and analysis of SMART devices including their advantages/disadvantages, their functions, and their flaws.
4/26/2021:This week I met with my group to begin work on the final project proposal. This weeks lesson the professor talked about transforming a design concept into reality, concurrent engineering and design for X, poor implementation can lead to failure, materials selection in design, common fabrication materials, the importance of material testing, manufacturing processes, and construction processes
4/19/2021: Finished Lab 10, this Lab helped better my understanding of blockchain. This weeks lesson the professor r reviewed evaluating alternative designs, rank-ordering the design goals, assigning weighting factors to design goals, rating the alternative designs, decision matrix, and its value and subjectivity, and economic analysis
4/10/2021: Lesson 9 focused more on the 3 levels of failure that occur in engineering. By completing Lab 9 I learned more about Yet Another Next Generation and Qiskit.
4/3/2021: This week during class the professor or went into detail about ethical and legal considerations in design, modern engineering codes of ethics, common violations, resolving conflicts among the guidelines, product liability, and more about the legal terms when it comes to design. I also completed Lab 8 to perform different types of data analysis
3/27/2021: Had a private meeting with group members in order to discuss the ideas for the Final Project. We concluded that we would like to conduct research in a specific subject, but have not narrowed down our options yet. We created a list of possible topic choices and plan on speaking to Professor Lu to further discuss the possibilities. I have completed Labs 6 and 7 this week as well.
3/20/2021:Caught up on missed Labs and completed Lab 4 and Lab 5
3/13/2021: Have caught up on Lab 3 and started Lab 4
3/6/2021: need more time to complete Lab 3, but joined a group for the project. This group is group 5 and it includes Cassidy Bickler, Kristen Tribel, and Valerie Ribertelli
2/22/2021: Completed Lab 2, with the demonstration provided by Professor Lu. As well as did the exercises that go along with the second lab
2/17/2021: Finished Lab 1 and configured the Raspberry Pi in order to set up starter mailer and be able to ssh into the Raspberry Pi. Additionally, I cloned the github repository onto the Raspberry Pi
2/1/2021: Get Raspberry Pi 3B+ with a microSDHC 32GB memory card from home and set up a website for the class as well as a GitHub repositoy
