I am an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at the Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería Julio Garavito. I received my PhD from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile under the supervision of Godofredo Iommi. My research interests are ergodic theory, thermodynamic formalism, and fractal geometry.
As a mathematician, I follow Federico Ardila's axioms on educational and societal views of mathematics. These are
Axiom 1. Mathematical potential is equally present in different groups, irrespective of geographic, demographic, and economic boundaries.
Axiom 2. Everyone can have joyful, meaningful, and empowering mathematical experiences.
Axiom 3. Mathematics is a powerful, malleable tool that various communities can use differently to serve their needs.
Axiom 4. Every student deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.
