Nicholas Boardman

Astronomer

Postdoctoral researcher, University of St Andrews

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of St Andrews. I received my PhD from this university in 2018, and then I worked at the University of Utah as a postdoc for more than three years.

My research is focused on understanding the structure of nearby galaxies, using the rich detail encoded within integral-field spectroscopic observations. I have developed a particular interest in star-forming gas in recent years, due to its ability to teach us much about how galaxies form and evolve. To learn more about my work, click here.
