Deserts

What are Deserts?

  • A desert is a barren area of landscape where little precipitation occurs and, consequently, living conditions are hostile for plant and animal life. The lack of vegetation exposes the unprotected surface of the ground to denudation.

Ecosystem:

  • A desert ecosystem is basically devoid of any rainfall or precipitation. In short desert ecosystem is the community of living and non-living organisms living together and interacting in an environment which seems to be abandoned.
