An Ocean Basin, is any of several vast submarine regions that collectively cover nearly three-quarters of Earth's surface.
Together they contain the overwhelming majority of all water on the planet and have an average depth of almost 4 km (about 2.5 miles).

What are Ocean Basins and their names?
Answer: The five ocean basins from largest to smallest are: the Pacific, Atlantic, Indian, Southern, and Arctic. The Pacific Ocean is the largest and deepest ocean in the world. It covers 63,800,000 square miles, a third of the Earth's surface.
