Hydrologic Cycle

• What is the water cycle and how does is help us?

Answer: The hydrologic cycle is important because it is how water reaches plants, animals and us! Besides providing people, animals and plants with water, it also moves things like nutrients, pathogens and sediment in and out of aquatic ecosystems.

• Students will be able to identify the different components of the water cycle.

• Students will also understand groundwater and how the water table works.

• See how groundwater moves through layers of rock and soil underground in this cool experiment.
