Planet Tracker Pro

Version 1.1

Description

Ever wanted to know where Mars is right now? Ever wanted to know how long it takes a radio signal to get from Mars to the Earth? Ever wanted to know what time Jupiter rises, transits, sets? Well this app is for you.

I originally wrote this program for myself. I wanted to know realtime positional data for the planets. I didn’t want to know the average distance, I wanted to know how far away a planet is right now.

On August 6, 2012 I was watching Mars Curiosity Rover decend through Mars atmosphere, I wanted to know what the signal delay was (in other words light travel time to Mars) at that very moment. This app will tell you that and so much more.
