COVID-19 presented challenges in collegiate soccer recruiting for me. So, the year following high school I was given the opportunity to play for the Pre-College Development Academy (PCDA) in Georgia, 12 hours from home. I wasn't sure what to expect but I knew I needed to believe in myself in this new chapter. The phrase "Bet on Yourself" came about one day as I was relaxing by the pool after training. I was thinking what words could describe the past year I experienced. To me, "Bet on Yourself" means believing in your abilities with confidence and taking risks even when times are hard. You must work hard, be consistent and stay disciplined in order to achieve your goals. Ultimately, you can't bet if you don't believe.
