MAT - Single Subject Math
University of California, Irvine
Hello! Welcome to my teacher portfolio. I am currently attending the University of California, Irvine for a Master's of Arts in Teaching and Teaching Credential (MAT) Program. Before going to UCI, I attended the University of California, Santa Cruz and received a BA in Education, Democracy, and Justice. In between my undergraduate and graduate experiences, I had the opportunity to work for Upland Unified School District as a substitute teacher. Because of this, I was able to confirm my love for teaching and interacting with students. I intend to teach math at the secondary school level and am currently teaching at Valley High School in Santa Ana, CA, where I teach 2 periods of 9th/10th grade Geometry Honors.
Here are some fun facts!
I have wanted to be in the teaching profession since middle school
Math has always been my favorite subject, with my favorite class being Calculus
I love to go to music festivals (I have been to over 20!)
I like to play games, swim, and workout
I have 2 dogs (a Beagle and an Old English Lab)
