About me
I'm a doctoral researcher at the University of Zurich (UZH) and a Digital Society Initiative (DSI) Excellence Fellow, working at the intersection of Work & Organizational Psychology and Human-Centered AI. My research focuses on how people learn, adapt, and thrive in modern organizations, and how AI systems can be designed to genuinely enhance human performance, creativity, and well-being.
At UZH, I serve as chair of the DSI Community Work and coordinate initiatives at UZH.ai, helping bridge research, education, and industry around AI. If you are interested in collaborating with either DSI Community Work or UZH.ai, feel free to reach out!
In addition to my research, I collaborate with organizations on research-informed projects related to AI at work, organizational learning/change, and the human side of digital transformation. These collaborations include invited talks, workshops, and advisory engagements ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies, aimed at translating evidence into practice.
I also regularly write featured articles for popular outlets and give talks at various conferences and forums (see "media" section). In my free time, I'm an avid skier and road cyclist, depending on the season.
Before entering academia, I worked as a performance psychologist, both in private practice and with the youth academy of Football Club "Shakhtar", which continues to inform my work on motivation, awareness, and human development. Although my passport name is Mykyta, everyone calls me Nick.
