Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Rhode Island Graduate School of Oceanography. The Surf Lab (SURFace Processes Lab) at URI uses a combination of theory, numerics, laboratory and field techniques to learn more about the physics of our oceans and atmosphere, as well as their coupling. 

I am recruiting graduate students and postdocs! My interests are in the fluid mechanics of the ocean and atmosphere. Lately, I have been examining fluids from a Lagrangian perspective and have been trying to employ geometric methods when working on these problems. In general, I have a broad interest in better understanding the physics of the air and sea with the goal of improved interpretation and understanding of observations.
