Perhaps I\u2019m just nostalgic that this time two years ago, I was settling into my flat in London\u2019s Camden Town, desperately eager to explore the crazy history of counter-culture my new home had. I could go on and on about the grunge roots Camden has, its infamous music venues, and the Goth and Punk cultures it nurtured for so long. But today I want to talk about what made Camden\u2019s music scene it\u2019s best: the pubs. Specifically, the pub that made a name for itself as the battleground for Britpop\u2019s ultimate showdown.

To understand The Good Mixer in its heyday is to understand Camden in the 90s. The north London district was not the top of every tourists\u2019 bucket list as it is now. In fact, I bet many people actually avoided Camden Town for its reputation of seediness and hard-edged metalheads frequenting its haunts. But it was here that some of music\u2019s biggest names gathered in a tiny Irish pub on Inverness Street that they made their local.
The story goes that Oasis brother Noel Gallagher was doing his thang in the bathroom when Blur guitarist Graham Coxon came in. Gallagher is ~said~ to have made the comment \u201CNice music, shit clothes\u201D to Coxon, and that ladies and gentleman, was all it took. He might as well have fired a gun. The Battle for Britpop was on.
After this drunken confrontation in the men\u2019s room, an all-out rivalry began between the bands. The music press at the time caught wind of the tensions (after all it was more usual for the Gallagher brothers to be fighting each other rather than someone else) and ran with it.
Both bands undeniably left a huge imprint on modern rock music. Blur\u2019s Parklife bottled up the sounds and inspirations behind Britpop into an album, and they went on to make five successive #1 albums in the UK. Oasis of course found huge international success as well and has made a name for itself as one of the last great rock bands of the 20th century. It\u2019s fun to think about all the conversations that went on at The Good Mixer while this rock soap opera was going on. Who thought it was blown out of proportion, and who didn\u2019t even know it was going on? The legacy of bar still lives on today. Although it has been commercialized a bit more now from its gritty roots, it\u2019s still a favorite stop for locals and music fans all over the world. When I visited The Good Mixer on the Camden Pub Crawl in 2019, regulars were telling us about the musicians who still dropped in from time to time.
I have made a simple automation with Apple Home on iPhone to start music when I got home. I have an Apple TV to manage Apple Home. It has worked at first attempt and also I made an interesting discover.
So it seems that the Apple TV is capable of airplaying music without turning on the TV, but only with an automation. would be nice to use this features also from Apple Music, this would be a very good alternative to Sonos App, because basically your smartphone is not streaming anything, just link with the Sonos app
Le Six and Le Klub are the obvious choices: the former has a mix of cabaret and theme shows, while the music at Le Klub has a more underground vibe. Neither venue is gay-exclusive, and both a very good fun.

Erman Erbak: I listened best band in Cote d'Azure and meet rocker openminded people from other countries.. Yes beers might be more expensive than the other bars in the old town but you have wonderful live music!

TRN is perhaps more known for its European Marches, and more difficult and lengthy works, but is steadily publishing more and more young band and orchestra pieces.
The Rest Is Noise festival starting at the Southbank next week promises to be the most original and challenging classical musical event of the year. And not the least interesting aspect of this celebration of exclusively 20th-century work will be to see how audiences respond to music that has a tendency to be much more cerebral.
Will the roar that goes up at the climax of a great romantic symphony be replicated when half an hour of minimalism has edged to its conclusion? How audiences behave at classical concerts is an issue that doesn't apply at rock or jazz concerts.
