Accepting Yourself and Your Herd

A workshop on identity and empathy

We are all wonderfully unique individuals with herds who love and support us. Sometimes, however, that can be hard to see. And, even harder to feel. Especially for kids. This interactive workshop continues the conversation on empathy and offers specific resources and activities for readers to recognize and celebrate their unique traits and herds. To reflect on identity, self-acceptance, and empathy.

In this session, we’ll discuss ways to create empathy ambassadors in your school, use Flip Grid as a tool for empathy, introduce the Unfolding Identity Project, and create Smart Cookie Jars as ways for readers to embrace their idiosyncrasies and look beyond the traditional family to the whole “herd” of people who love and support them.
