Support NDHHS: Strengthening Access, Strengthening Our Work
As interpreters, we know that access is not just a service—it is the foundation of participation, equity, and community connection. Northeast Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services (NDHHS) plays a critical role in advancing that foundation across New Hampshire through advocacy, education, and direct support for Deaf, DeafBlind, and hard of hearing individuals and their families.
NDHHS strengthens the systems we work within by promoting effective communication access, supporting informed decision-making, and elevating awareness of Deaf-centered perspectives in public services, education, and healthcare. Their work complements and reinforces the interpreting profession by helping communities better understand and prioritize meaningful access.
Interpreter associations and individual interpreters alike are encouraged to consider supporting NDHHS financially. Donations help sustain essential programs that improve communication equity and ensure that Deaf and hard of hearing community members have consistent access to the resources they need—and deserve.
When we invest in organizations like NDHHS, we invest in the broader ecosystem that makes our work more effective, ethical, and impactful.
