A five-day training of talks, activities, hands-on and workshops

The goal of this training is to to introduce the participants to QGIS, SWAT model, including sensitivity analysis, model calibration, validation and uncertainty analysis using SWAT-CUP and bring researchers in Hydrology together from across the INDIA.

He is the Director of NIH and course director for this training course. He has a rich experience in SWAT modeling and pioneered in forest hydrology. He is the main architecture of the SWAT training course.

Dr AK Lohani

NHP Training Coordinator


He is the coordinator for training programmes of NIH and leading two regional centers of the NIH. He is renowned modeler and trainer. He is pioneered in soft computing skills in hydrology.

Dr Manish K Nema

Course Coordinator


He is the coordinator for this training course. He is the officer in-charge of the remote sensing and GIS lab of NIH. His research interests are hydrological modeling, climate change and experimental catchment, water auditing.

Dr Vishal Singh

Course Coordinator


He is the coordinator for this training course. He a young and promising scientist of NIH. His research areas includes, climate change, snow-glacier runoff modeling. He has great skills in Python programming and its application in hydrology.
