Divisions/Certifications
In the NHCSO we offer many divisions/certifications that you can achieve and get. Although, once you are a Deputy you will automatically be placed either Section 1 or 2 and placed into the Patrol Division. You are able to get into a division/certification of the following:
Certifications
Correctional Officers have the duties of making sure all prisoners are under control, fed, and safe.
Bailiffs have the duties of ensuring safety for the Courthouse and all personnel inside while a court session is in session.
The Judiciary Protection Detail is in charge of ensuring that all Judiciary personnel within the server are safe.
Divisions:
In-charge of overseeing operations, maintaining activity, and ensures that candidates being trained correctly by Field Training Officers.
In-charge of investigating accusations or claims against another member of the New Haven County Sheriff's Office
In-charge of investigating criminal actions and gang related activity within New Haven County
In-charge of conducting official patrol operations within New Haven County.
Auxiliary Deputies is a division within the NHCSO that is for part time deputies. They are not required to patrol daily and are restricted on promotions.
