Over the years I have had to limit any planetary photos to merely points of light, though with the purchase of a second-hand Sky Watcher 200P, that may change, today 4th February 2020 caught my first ever image of Venus other than a point of light or a star burst, it's nothing great however and plenty of chromatic aberration, I think in result of using the Sky Watcher 2x Barlow and 10mm lens for projection (by the way this makes the scope into a 18m f/90 ).
Below is the best image I caught tonight.
Sky Watcher 2x barlow and 10mm eye projection giving 360x magnification. The C.A. I think is due to the kit lenses barlow and 10mm eye piece.A few stats from the time of capture.Canon 6d 1/60th @f/90 ISO 12800Mag -4.12 reduced to -3.82Alt/Az +225°27'27.9"/+25°05'19.7"Set 20:49Distance from sun 107,976,000KmDistance from Observer 159,323,000KmApparent Diameter 0°00'15.67"Illuminated 72.2%First attempt at Mars.
