Why rent from the AMC-NH Paddlers?
We are a non-profit outdoors organization and EVERY SERVICE we offer is managed by volunteers. Rental fees help us maintain the rental equipment, which is also used for our affordable classes. How far in advance will I need to rent equipment?
We recommend renting at least one week in advance, but if you decide on a spontaneous outing, please contact us, we may have what you desire. Advanced notice enables us to ensure your boat and equipment will be ready.
Is there a payment deposit for rentals? What if my trip is cancelled due to weather or other reasons?
No deposit is required for rentals. Once a rental is arranged, you will be asked to pay AFTER using the equipment. This helps to avoid cancellations and reimbursement of funds. Payment will be via an online link with any major credit card.
Will AMC-NH provide transport straps and help me put a large boat on my vehicle?
Renters are fully responsible for all transport gear (racks, foam, straps, etc.) to safely maneuver and transport all equipment without help from a rental host. If you cannot fit a boat inside your vehicle, it is critical that you have an appropriately secure system to transport your rental boat. You do not need to purchase a full rack, as there are simpler foam block systems that work well, such as this kit available at Dick's Sporting Goods. NHAMC is not responsible for damage to your vehicle or damage caused by your negligence! Renters are responsible for all accidents or damages related to any transport failure of equipment.
I need to rent a boat for a week. Is there a long-term use rental discount?
Our daily fees are already highly competitive and up to 50% less than other local outfitters. Now that's a deal!
