Adult volunteers are always needed! There are many ways to help out. Consider reviewing the leadership positions below, or even volunteering a few hours of your time to support our cubs. Fill out the Family Talent Survey to get started. If you have questions about how to get involved, reach out.
Leaders working Directly with Children
Cubmaster
The role of the cubmaster is to plan and carry out the pack program with the help of the pack committee. The Cubmaster attends monthly pack committee meetings and has a larger role in running and planning pack meetings.
Assistant Cubmaster
The Assistant Cubmaster helps the cubmaster carry out pack programming. They attend monthly pack committee meetings, help coordinate and run pack meetings, and assist in organizing pack outings.
Den Leader
The Den Leader leads the weekly den meetings for their den. Usually this is a parent of a child within the den. The Den Leader follows the Den Leader Guide to help their cubs earn adventure loops and advance to the next rank at the end of the scouting season.
The Pack Committee
Committee Chair
The Committee chair presides at all pack committee meetings, and assist in making decisions that impact the pack. They help recruit adult leaders.
Treasurer
The Treasurer keeps all financial records for the pack, including the pack bank account, and gives a monthly financial report to the pack committee.
Advancement Chair
The Advancement chair maintains advancement records for the pack. Throughout the year, they collect information from den leaders and parents about which adventure loops or special awards each cub scout has earned. They order and obtain the badges and insignia to award at each pack meeting.
New Member Coordinator
The person in this role manages the transition of new scouts into the pack and helps familiarize new families with the Scouting program. They are responsible for marketing and recruiting initiatives of the pack to ensure pack growth and retention.
Secretary
The Secretary keeps records of the pack committee meetings and communicates with families about upcoming pack events and activities. They may create and send out monthly newsletters to pack members.
