Life After Cancer

The devastation of losing our daughter was unbearable, but we had to carry on with our lives for our other children. We knew we wanted to have another child and we were lucky to have another son. We raised our children the best we could. Even though we were busy working, my husband and I made a point to always take lots of photos and videos because we knew how precious our lives were. I made it my mission to organize and keep our digital media safe. Then I discovered Google Sites where I could showcase our photos, videos, and stories for our family for years to come.

This page is an example of using Google Sites to showcase some of our family photos with the kids growing up every year. I call this our Treasury Site where we keep all our treasures. This page is only an example, but on our real Treasury Site, when you click on each picture, it goes to another whole website dedicated to that one year. There is a page for each season and we have a massive amount of photos and videos there. I enjoy going through these websites, remembering and writing about all the stories of our lives.

Someday my children and grandchildren will enjoy these Digital Memoirs as much as I do. Because I am connecting each year to my Treasury Site, I have one site with one link that I can easily share with my family and friends. It is all digital, there are no books, no DVDs. And because it is Google, I know this technology will last a lifetime.
