I am a Senior Research Fellow at the Kids Research Institute Australia, the ARC Life Course Centre, and the University of Western Australia. 

My research interests lie in Applied Econometrics, with a particular focus on Health Economics, Environmental Economics, and Labour Economics. 

I have published in both policy and academic outlets, including articles in top-tier ABDC A*-rated economics journals such as Journal of Health Economics, Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, Journal of International Economics, Health Economics (five articles), and Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization.

I have also recently published in several journals currently proposed for upgrade to, or inclusion in, the ABDC A* category in Economics, including the American Journal of Health Economics, Labour Economics, Journal of Population Economics, and Social Science & Medicine. 

As a Chief Investigator, I have received research funding from the Australian Research Council (ARC) and the Australian Government Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF).

My current work focuses on four key areas: 

1. Investigating the impacts of natural disasters and potential mitigating mechanisms: recent publications in JEEM (Conversation article, featured at The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction), Journal of Health Economics, Ecological Economics, or WP
