• Pescara Airport. The closest airport is Aeroporto d'Abruzzo in Pescara, about 17 Km from the Conference Location (the easiest way to reach Silvi Marina from the airport is by taxi). The airport is very small with a limited number of connections to Milan (both Milano Linate and Bergamo-Orio al Serio) and European cities (London Stansted, Brussels Charleroi, Frankfurt Hahn, etc). If you find a connection to Pescara Airport, this is highly recommended as it avoids the traffic in Rome and the bus from Rome (see below). • Rome Fiumicino and Rome Ciampino. From these airports, there are two possibilities to reach Silvi Marina:

1. take a bus to Pescara bus station (about 2.5-3.0 hrs from Ciampino Airport or 3.0-3.5 hrs from Fiumicino Airport) and then reach the Conference location by taxi (12 km from Pescara bus station to Silvi Marina). 2. rent a car in Fiumicino Airport or Ciampino Airport and reach Silvi Marina (257 km from Fiumicino Airport and 219 km from Ciampino Airport).

• Ancona Airport

• From Rome Tiburtina. There is a convenient bus connection from the center of Rome to Pescara served by multiple companies. The travel time is about 2.5 hrs. The cost of a one-way ticket to Pescara is about 15 Euro. The buses leave/arrive from/to the Tiburtina bus terminal in Rome and the railway station in Pescara. • From the airports: take a bus to Pescara bus station (about 2.5-3.0 hrs from Ciampino Airport or 3.0-3.5 hrs from Fiumicino Airport) and then reach the Conference location by taxi (12 km from Pescara bus station to Silvi Marina). • Local bus connection: From the Pescara Airport take the bus nr 8 or 38 to Pescara bus train station and then reach the Conference location by taxi (12 km from Pescara bus station to Silvi Marina).

Silvi Marina is conveniently located very close to the A14 highway (Bologna-Pescara-Bari) and to the A25 highway (Rome-Pescara).

The main railways reaching Pescara is the Milan-Lecce line. Timetables can be searched at the Ferrovie Italiane web site: you have to select the "Pescara Centrale" station in the schedule search. From Pescara train station (located just in front of the bus station) take a taxi to the Conference location (12 km).
