The George and Josephine Butler Polymer Research Laboratory is the home for cutting-edge polymer research at the University of Florida. Led by the current chair, Prof. Brent S. Sumerlin, nine research groups make up the Butler Laboratory (Sumerlin, Evans, Castellano, Colina, Miller, Narayanan, Savin, Veige, and Wagener).
Members of Butler Research run a comprehensive instrumentation lab, the Polymer Chemistry Characterization Laboratory (PCCL). The Butler Lab also hosts UF POLY-PMSE, the organization that has won Best Student Chapter 5 times since its foundation in 2012.

Outside of the Reitz Union, the UF campus spans 2,000 acres that house two museums, galleries and exhibits, bat houses, gardens, and beautiful lakes. If your stay in Gainesville spans longer than the conference, we'd love to introduce you to all the local indoor and outdoor activities!
Gainesville blends the charm of a lively college town with outdoor adventures, rich arts, and a vibrant local flavor. Take advantage of our colorful downtown, favorite bars & restaurants, and scenic nature spots.
The American Chemical Society Division of Polymers (ACS POLY) established the NGRPC in 1994 to give graduate students the opportunity to network with each other and professionals in academia, government and industry.
This year’s conference will be held in Gainesville, FL, at the University of Florida's J. Wayne Reitz Union.
