The PAC has three required executive roles:
Chair (President)
Secretary
Treasurer
All other positions (like Vice-President, DPAC Rep, etc.) are optional and can be added based on the PAC’s needs. NG's PAC has all of these roles active.
Term Length & Limits (for all executive roles):
Term: 1 year (July 1 – June 30)
Maximum tenure in the same role: 4 consecutive years
Someone can stay on the executive longer than 4 years overall—but they would need to move into a different role after hitting the 4-year limit in one position.
Term: One year from July 1 to June 30
Maximum Tenure: Four years
PAC Chair Role & Authority
The PAC Chair provides leadership, manages day-to-day operations, and serves as the voice of the PAC with school and district administration. Their authority comes from the PAC constitution and bylaws, and from the direction of the membership.
Accountability
The Chair must act in the best interest of the school community by following the constitution, bylaws, and code of ethics. They ensure the PAC operates within its mandate, seeks parent input and consensus, supports planning, delegates tasks, and reports to and follows the direction of members.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule and attend meetings (or delegate if needed)
Hold at least 7 general meetings per year, plus the AGM in May (and June if required)
Organize 2–3 executive meetings annually
Ensure preparation of agendas with the executive and principal
Stay informed on school and PAC matters
Communicate regularly with parents and ensure concerns are addressed
Form and oversee committees
Represent the PAC in school and district activities
Propose updates to the constitution/bylaws as needed
Ensure all activities align with the PAC’s purpose
Term: One year from July 1 to June 30
Maximum Tenure: Four years
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare agendas for PAC and executive meetings
Attend meetings and record accurate minutes
Support executive planning (budget, yearly planning, and review of governing documents)
Stay up to date on PAC communications (e.g., WhatsApp)
Term: One year from July 1 to June 30
Maximum Tenure: Four years
The Treasurer oversees the financial management of the PAC, ensuring all funds are handled responsibly, transparently, and in accordance with approved decisions. Responsibilities include acting as a signing officer, maintaining accurate financial records, tracking all income and expenses, and issuing payments as authorized. The Treasurer prepares and presents regular financial reports at general and executive meetings, ensures records are available for review or audit, and submits an annual financial statement.
Working with the executive, the Treasurer develops and presents the annual budget for membership approval. They also ensure continuity by maintaining organized records and providing access to financial information when needed.
The Treasurer participates in executive and general meetings throughout the year and presents a Treasurer’s Report at each general meeting.
Key Responsibilities & Timing:
Annually:
Prepare and present the annual budget (AGM)
Provide year-end financial summary and statements
Apply for and report on the BC Gaming Grant
Issue approved school funding and ensure compliance with grant requirements
Monthly:
Deposit funds and reconcile bank accounts
Track and summarize all financial activity
Prepare financial reports for PAC meetings
Monitor general and gaming funds
Ongoing:
Issue payments for approved expenses
Maintain organized financial records for transparency and audit readiness
Support fundraising activities by tracking revenues and expenses
Note: The Treasurer role may be shared to support workload and ensure continuity.
Term: One year from July 1 to June 30
Key Responsibilities:
Attend monthly DPAC meetings (held at alternating North/South Delta schools; occasional online option, typically 7:00–8:30 pm)
Participate in discussions with trustees, the superintendent, and guest speakers (including the March trustee breakout sessions)
Take brief notes on key updates and report back at PAC meetings
Act as a liaison between the school and DPAC, reaching out for support when needed
Promote available DPAC parent education grants and encourage parent participation
Note: This role can be shared. If unable to attend a meeting, a delegate may attend or notes can be requested to report back to the PAC.

$779 of credit and debit sales for both the Spring Fair admissions and the Track and Field
concession, and
$58 as a donation toward music supplies.
