Project goal: We investigate cell-free massive-MIMO in 5G downlink systems, where we consider multi-stream support for hybrid analog and digital beamforming. In addition, we consider the UE re-drop algorithm to tackle the problems of RSRP-based association failure, round-robin-based scheduling, and interference and receiver modeling. On the performance evaluation, we investigate the UE/cell throughput, UE spectral efficiency, UE received SINR, 5% performance, and fronthaul capacity consumption.
