On August 12 in Bila Tserkva, together with the active youth of the community, we took part in the Youth Forum 2025 “Community: a Space of Opportunities for Youth.”
In our community, there are 59,000 young people (aged 14–35), which makes up almost one-third of the population.
The forum became a great platform for dialogue between youth, government, business, education, and civil society organizations. We discussed new projects, accessibility, volunteering, and resilience.
This day was special for us as our team and active NGO members were recognized for their contribution to the development of youth policy and community life. It is a great honor and an even greater motivation to move forward!
We are proud to be part of a community that is transforming the city for the better. Together we are shaping the future!

Our team has already taken part in the National Human Rights Education Training in Lviv
It was an intensive multi-day space that brought together participants from different parts of Ukraine — activists, educators, facilitators, and volunteers.
Together we:
explored the topics of dignity, equality, and non-discrimination;
worked with the Council of Europe’s “Compass” manual;
learned how to integrate human rights into formal and non-formal education;
shared experiences and searched for tools to bring change to our communities.
It was a space of deep reflection, support, inspiration, and realization of how important it is to talk about human rights during wartime.

Our volunteer and facilitator Ivan recently took part in a five-day seminar-retreat organized by horyzontzmin_ngo
This retreat was part of a mental health support initiative — a space for silence, reset, and self-care.
The program was rich yet very gentle:
working on a mental health program;
morning yoga with a trainer;
art practices with a psychologist;
sunsets on the mountain and evenings with music;
open-air cinema, board games, workshops, and quizzes.
We are grateful to the organizers for the opportunity to be part of such a space. And we remind everyone who helps others: from time to time, it’s worth giving support to yourself too!

How can you make sure that everyone who needs to know about your work actually does?
The communications team of Kebetas Association has started its participation in the international Easy Visi Mentorship Programme, which will help us take our visibility, communication, and impact to a new level.
Fifty civil society organizations from around the world have joined this six-month journey — to learn how to:
strategically plan communication;
create stories that inspire and motivate;
build connections with media and donors;
work as an ambassador team;
share the results of their work — professionally, vividly, and effectively.
"Make your communication Easy Visi – lemon squeezy!"
This training is for those who not only work with young people but also want to be heard, recognized, and impactful. And we are glad to already be on this path.
Stay tuned — we are preparing something new for you in the field of visual and strategic storytelling!

How to prepare a grant application that really works? — we learned this at the EDYN Ukraine workshop.
Our project manager Yuliia attended the EDYN Ukraine workshop and shared her impressions, ideas, and new knowledge with us.
On July 14, at the Ukrainian-Danish Youth House, EDYN Ukraine held a grant workshop — a starting point for 20 young people who want to learn how to work effectively with donors.
The participants went through an intensive program focused on practice: from introductions in the format “10,000 euros for my idea” to a real simulation of submitting applications, analyzing common mistakes, and working with cases.
We talked not only about how to write a grant, but also how to think in terms of projects: from an idea to a sustainable result.
No theory for the sake of theory — only what makes sense and brings value!
We are very grateful to the organizers and partners for such a wonderful opportunity!

And today we want to share the story of our volunteer Oleksandra, who is actively developing her knowledge and competencies by participating in EU Study Days 2025, an educational project of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine.
This year, the program brought together more than 100 participants - schoolchildren, students, and young researchers from all over Ukraine.
Together, they immerse themselves in modern challenges and opportunities by studying:
European values and policies;
the future of relations between Ukraine and the European Union;
the basics of project management and initiative implementation;
key skills of the 21st century - communication, collaboration, critical thinking.
"Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or only to the present will miss the future," Oleksandra shares.
We are convinced that the skills of the new generation are not only hard skills, but above all the ability to think, adapt, act and be conscious citizens of the world.
We thank all our volunteers who grow with us - for themselves and for the benefit of society!

“I want to diversify my knowledge and understanding of how NGO activities should be implemented”
This is the thought that our volunteer and facilitator Ivan returned from a three-day All-Ukrainian training for youth organizations in Rivne.
Together with young people from different parts of Ukraine, he:
modeled his own youth project;
learned how to effectively search for resources and reliable partners;
understood how government support and communication with the community work;
talked about emotional burnout in the public sector - and how to deal with it, especially during the war.
And, of course, he talked about the experience of Kebetas: how Speaking Clubs are born in Bila Tserkva, how to engage young people, and why building trust is the first step to real change.
We are proud that our volunteers do not stop there, they are constantly learning, expanding their circle of contacts and sharing their knowledge.
“The knowledge gained will definitely be useful for the development of me as a volunteer and our NGO in helping young people pave their way to the future.”
We thank the organizers for a meaningful event, warm atmosphere and new horizons!

Our NGO attended the first event in a series of meetings on the EU organized by the Ukrainian-Danish Youth House - European Voices.
The event was timed to coincide with the start of Denmark's presidency of the EU Council. Participants discussed the core values of the European Union, the role of Ukraine in redefining European identity, and the diplomatic experience of young people.
The speeches were inspiring:
Lars Olav Søndahl Petersen, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Denmark in Ukraine
Chitske Wildervan - Second Secretary of the Embassy of the Netherlands
Yuriy Lomikovsky, Youth Delegate of Ukraine to the UN
It was sincere, open and inspiring!
After the speeches, there was facilitated networking, lively discussion, new acquaintances and important reflections: what does it mean to be part of Europe?
We thank the team of Ukrainian-Danish youth house for the opportunity to be among active youth, diplomats and those who are creating the future today.

Last week, an art picnic for young people took place within the SYWOR initiative after our project manager Yulia completed an Erasmus+ training for youth workers in Moldova. The event was held in a safe shelter of our organization's partners and gathered 20 participants aged 15-25 - students of local educational institutions.
The goal of the event was to raise emotional awareness through body mapping, a creative way to explore your emotions in your body. Participants practiced English, developed empathy, self-expression and awareness.
The program included Emoji Emotion Guess and Emotional Weather exercises, body scanning meditation, artistic practices, and discussions in pairs and circles. The atmosphere was sincere, supportive and conducive to personal immersion.
The event was organized with the support of the NGO 'Kebetas' in partnership with the NGO “Young Agents of Change”.
We are sincerely grateful to everyone who participated! Such initiatives are an important step towards the mental well-being of young people in our community!

Our NGO had the privilege to take part in an international training seminar focused on access to quality youth work and non-formal education during war and in the post-war period in Ukraine.
Organised by the Council of Europe Youth Department in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, this activity is part of a long-term Framework Programme for 2021–2025.
Some of the most meaningful sessions included:
Understanding Council of Europe standards in youth work
Applying a human rights-based approach using the Compass manual
Deep dives into trauma-informed youth work, including the Do No Harm principle
Reflecting on the Youth Work Portfolio and how to build our competences as youth workers
Experiencing practical tools like the "Solution Exists" board game and “Have Your Say”
We shared experiences from the ground — youth workers supporting young people both inside Ukraine and in other Council of Europe member states. It was emotional, honest, and incredibly motivating.
A huge thank you to the facilitators, speakers, and every participant who brought their passion and knowledge into the space. We're leaving this experience with fresh tools, clearer direction, and renewed energy to continue working with and for young people — even in the most challenging times.

Planned local follow-ups for youth
Next: we’re bringing these tools home with 2 local seminars — open to displaced and local young people.

Just returned from an unforgettable experience in Rome at the training course “The Power of Non-Formal Education” (May 12–17, 2025)!
This wasn’t just a training — it was a powerful immersion into the philosophy, practice, and political dimension of non-formal education (NFE). We didn’t just talk about NFE — we experienced it.
Through role plays, simulations, deep reflections, and collaborative sessions, we explored:
How NFE empowers young people to become real actors of change
The unique complementarity between formal and non-formal education
The importance of coherence between our values and daily educational work
The power of reflection, transfer, and shared learning
The journey started even before Rome — with 6 weeks of pre-training reflections, conversations, and shared resources. And it doesn’t stop here. We return home with new insights, challenges, and a renewed belief in the transformative potential of NFE.
Endless gratitude to the organizers, trainers, and every participant who contributed to this co-created learning space.
Let’s keep spreading the power of education that feels, questions, and empowers.

School of Dialogue — a space where new voices of changemaker facilitators grow.
Our volunteer, Ivan Sych, joined the intensive course by Ukrainian-Danish Youth House to dive deeper into how dialogue can be built — not just as a method, but as a mindset.
During the online phase, participants explored tools for dialogic communication and learned how to lead conversations that connect rather than divide.
The offline part focused on facilitation practice: working with group dynamics, designing effective workshops, and building confidence.
The method of dialogue is a way to listen, agree, and create change. And now, another member of our team is ready to bring this approach to their community.

Three days that filled the hearts of each of us with pride, sadness, hope and confidence in the power of Ukrainian youth.
On 3-5 April, the team of our organisation - the head, volunteers and active participants - joined the opening of the European Youth Capital 2025 in Lviv. We were there to hear, see, feel, and - most importantly - to be a part of the history that is being made right now.
Day 1 - Opening Ceremony (3 April) At the Lviv Opera House, we witnessed an emotional ceremony with a minute of silence, the Ukrainian anthem performed by Taras Topolya, speeches by European leaders, music by Sviatoslav Vakarchuk and a theatrical performance ‘How Lviv Sounds’. It was a day that combined art, dignity and brave youth.
Day 2 - Remembrance Day (4 April) Together with hundreds of participants, the memory of young people and defenders of Ukraine was honoured. In Lviv, the concert was broadcast from the Church of the Garrison and watched in the courtyard of the City Hall, the Garden Republic and Plav. It was a sincere, quiet, but very strong presence - to remember, to realise and to give thanks.
Day 3 - Open Youth Event (5 April) !FESTrepublic hosted a day for young people with open talks, concerts, special formats and a fair. We met like-minded people, discussed the vision of youth policy, and were inspired and inspired. It was a lively environment where we want to act even more!

We thank all the organisers, partners and young people who make the impossible possible.
Stay tuned for the next #EYC2025 events and join us in creating the future at home. Youth is power!

life hacks for organizing events.
The most valuable thing is the opportunity to communicate with like-minded people, learn from each other's experience and discuss future cooperation.

Lights, Camera, Action! Media Adventure in Flensburg.
Just wrapped up an incredible two-week journey at the “Your Own TV Show” international workcamp in Flensburg. From learning how to work a camera to editing our own footage and even presenting live on air – it was a deep dive into the world of television production!
Organised by IJGD and hosted by the amazing team at Flensburger Jugendring and the Offener Kanal Flensburg TV station, we got to create our own short films, with guidance from experienced media educators and volunteers.
Every day started with a walk to the studio, where we worked on our projects, until they came to life. And finally presented our film live to the public – a moment we’ll never forget!
We stayed at a cozy youth center, where we had fun together, and even hopped across the border to Denmark!
If you ever get a chance to be part of a media workcamp (or any other kind of workcamp) do it! It’s about learning, collaborating, and stepping out of your comfort zone, and it’s an unforgettable way to meet people from all over the world!

“Don't trust fate and believe in yourself. Spend more time doing rather than dreaming, living rather than waiting, because even though who almost died is still alive, who almost lives is already dead.” Sarah Westphal @gapyearportugal
This quote from the “Time 2 act 4.0” project and many other insights were brought by Lilia, the head of our NGO “Association Kebet”. The project took place in Portugal and focused on the topic of gap year, soft skills as a tool for solving problems faced by young people today. March 6, 2024 was a very productive and fruitful day for our NGO and our partners at the Bila Tserkva Humanitarian and Pedagogical College. Together we went on a trip to get acquainted with the Ukrainian-Danish Youth House in Kyiv. During the visit, about 40 students had the opportunity to get acquainted with the space of the Hughe-style house and learn what initiatives or ideas they can come with and implement in this space.
Guest speaker Kristin Birna Stefansdotir spoke about the education system for teachers in Denmark. In the format of a lively discussion, it was found that the concepts of “teacher” and “educator” in Denmark have significant differences and are two different professions. With Anastasia Yakovenko, Head of the Department of Professional Higher Education from the NGO Ukrainian Association of Students, the students learned about the activities of the organization itself and possible ways to cooperate and attract support from the association for college students. There was also networking in groups, where participants developed ideas for future events and projects with all stakeholders of the event. During the breaks, we enjoyed pizza and drew on the walls, leaving wishes or just a picture for the Youth House.
We are sincerely grateful to the Ukrainian-Danish Youth House, Christine and Anastasia for the hospitality and acquaintance, the administration of the Bila Tserkva Humanitarian and Pedagogical College for their support and assistance, and the students who joined the visit and actively participated in all parts of the event. It turned out to be very atmospheric and relaxed.
