The following technical reports (except one) are available from the NCRA library website. However access to this database from outside NCRA seems to have been disabled hence these are made available here:
The following seven reports detail the different aspects of OnlineV2 - the new control and monitoring system that has been developed for controlling the Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope which consists of 30 antennas of 45m diameter and works at five wavebands lower than 1.5 GHz. This software uses the new Monitor and Control Module that had been designed for GMRT . The software is an entirely in-house development which builds on the first control and monitor system for GMRT 'ONLINE' and subsequent work on Linux-based control systems done at GMRT. It has been successfully tested on 15 antennas. Some of the main differences in this software and old software are: (1) OnlineV2 is Linux-based as against the Solaris one (2) OnlineV2 uses ethernet connectivity to antennas as against serial communication (3) OnlineV2 is faster (4) OnlineV2 has a GUI (5) OnlineV2 has a destkop-based control module and allows web-browser based monitoring. In addition to these reports, a relevant document is here. These are included here because I led the team at GMRT working on OnlineV2.
