Second attempt for my newtonian, Still some tunings are required , but stars are getting better.

First light for the newton 8". This telescope still need good tuning and optimization. That being said the "zooming" factor compared with the image taken with the refractor is quite clear.

Quick capture of the Pinwheel galaxy. Only two hours and half using the usual gear and a broadband filter ( Optolong L-Pro ) to reduce light pollution.

This galaxy is roughly 24 million light years away from us, making it a challenging target ( at least for my gear ).

This picture is the result of
140 x  "180 secs" subframes, for a total of 7hrs of acquisition time.

The Elephant's_Trunk_Nebula is a concentration of interstellar gas and dust, located in the constellation Cepheus about 2,400 light years away from Earth

I don't  think an explanation is needed here. 😉
