New Faculty Institute

The New Faculty Institute (NFI), is a year-long program designed to support all new faculty as you get acclimated to the campus and transition into your new role.  This program is a faculty learning community consisting of professional development, mentoring, community-building activities, and academic support.  Each aspect of the New Faculty Institute was designed to foster a culture of teaching excellence and service that embraces inclusion, equity, diversity, justice, and the implementation of evidence-based practices. 

NFI provides new faculty the opportunity to: 

The NFI is open to all new faculty hires (both full and part-time). 

Participation is limited! This year we are looking for 25 full-time participants and 10 part-time participants for both the fall and spring semester to participate in the NFI. 

New Faculty Institute meetings will occur on the 3rd Friday of each month

Locations & Time: TBD

**However, please note not all of events/activities will be in person.

Signing up for NFI is as easy as 1, 2, 3: 

All participants will receive a stipend for their participation in the New Faculty Institute

The final stipend amount will be based on the level of participation and engagement in the planned events. 

This semester, the New Faculty Committee will be holding virtual office hours. The office hours will be led by the EpiCenter Faculty leads. who will be available to answer questions you may have during your transition. If they or our committee don't have the answer we will find someone who does!
