General Team Information:

The NFA Concept Vehicle Racing Team (CVRT) is comprised of 9th-12th grade students who strive to gain engineering related experience for their future endeavors beyond high school. Students work together to design, build, test drive, and race fuel efficient vehicles from scratch. These students work directly with teachers in the Career and Technical Education department, such as Engineering, Automotive Technology, Welding, Auto Body, and Video Production to name a few, which are all elective opportunities for every student who attends Newburgh Free Academy.

CVRT Mission Statement:

The CVRT will design and produce a functional vehicle that will be as energy efficient as possible. Our design goal is to accomplish over 1000 miles per gallon. The design must also be aerodynamic, have improved accessibility and workable features, while still be realistically affordable.

We typically meet on Mondays. Please join our REMIND for meeting dates, times, and locations!
