NEYC RACE DAY RULES WOMPY

**RULES THAT DIFFER FROM THE PREVIOUS RACE ARE IN RED!!

NO DOGS - Dogs are never allowed at any NEYC Events.  Please leave your dog at home - we will ask you to leave our event if you bring a dog.  Dogs and Mountain Biking DO NOT MIX.  No dogs at any NEYC Events!  They will turn you away at the entrance to Winding Trails if you bring a dog.  No Dogs.

GARBAGE - Please leave our venues cleaner than you found them including the COURSE, PARKING LOT, and TEAM TENT area.  ALWAYS taking out what you brought in!   Please do not litter!  This is how we lose these great venues!


HELMETS - ALL Riders - athletes of NEYC, Coaches, Parents, Spectators MUST wear a buckled helmet when riding at an NEYC Events!  We expect anyone coming to an NEYC Event to follow this rule!  If you cannot follow our rule and set an exceptional example for our athletes, then we ask you not to come.  WEAR A BUCKLED HELMET!


RIDING ON THE COURSE - Spectators, Coaches and Athletes not racing at the time - SHOULD NOT HAVE BIKES ON OUR COURSE AT ANY TIME!  This is dangerous!  Please respect the athletes racing and stay off the course during the races.  NEVER ride backwards on a course:

There are (3) opportunities on Sunday ONLY to preview our course.

SATURDAY 6.17 AT 4:00 PM - GATE CLOSES AT 7:00 PM - Please park at TRANSFER STATION

   SUNDAY 6.18 AT 6:30 AM and 12:30 PM (Subject to change)


RIDING IN TEAM TENT AREA - There IS NO riding in team tent area!   


DISRESPECT - We have specific rules in place at our NEYC Events.  We expect the rules of Wearing a Helmet, Not riding in Team Tent, Staying off the Course and not obstructing our athletes to be followed.  When a COACH or NEYC Director reminds you of these rules, we ask that you comply.  If you do not agree, cannot follow these rules or just do not care - we would ask that you not attend our events.  These rules are SIMPLE and for the safety of our athletes!


STAGING -  RACE #6 STAGING FOR ALL CATEGORIES IS BASED ON STANDINGS BEST 4 OUT OF 5 RESULTS.  


If you have questions about staging, please check with your HEAD COACH.    Parents are not permitted in our STAGING AREA or START CHUTE. Staging Area is strictly limited to COACHES and ATHLETES only. Start Chute is striclyt limited to athletes and our staging volunteers.


PRE-RIDE -  SATURDAY Pre-Ride is available.  There is Pre-Ride for athletes and coaches on Saturday beginning at 4:00 PM.  Sunday at 6:30 AM and again at 12:30 PM - Please follow the instructions on the PRE-RIDE TAB.


EQUIPMENT DROP OFF TEAM TENT AREA -  Drop off of Tents and Equipment is available on Saturday after 4:00 PM and all day Sunday.  There is NO VEHICLE DROP-OFF in TEAM TENT


RACE DISTANCES/LAPS - JUNIOR SERIES ATHLETES will compete on our 4 mile course doing 1,2, 3 Laps respectively.  Our SS4 and SS3 Athletes will also compete on our 4 mile course.  SENIOR SERIES JV and VARSITY Athletes will compete on our 6 mile course doing 2 Laps and 3 Laps respectively.


PARKING - All event parking is located within the park


RESULTS - We will be operating with our normal NEYC Timing Staff.  Any changes, protests or issues with timing please proceed to the VOLUNTEER TENT and fill out a "PROTEST FORM."   


BIKE PLATES - There are no BIKE PLATE CHANGES for the remainder of the season.  Please ensure that your athlete or your coach has the bike plate.  If you do not arrive at the venue with your plate - you WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RACE!  Please plan accordingly
