Samantha Brewer, Registered Massage Therapist

Sam graduated in 2005 from a 3 year massage therapy program in Vernon, and has been working in private practice ever since. She established Nexus Therapeutics with the vision of helping people heal by providing the best level of care possible.

An interest in natural health, a background in competitive sports, and several injuries along the way led Sam to choose massage therapy as a career. Her desire to improve well being and quality of living for her clients has inspired her to create a treatment style that focuses on rehabilitation. Sam regularly takes courses to expand her knowledge of the body and best serve the individual needs of each client.

While Sam incorporates traditional massage work in her sessions, she finds that acute and chronic conditions often respond best to techniques that target problem areas more specifically than just muscle work. Sam employs non-invasive osteopathy based tests and techniques that find and treat the causes of dysfunction, rather than addressing the symptoms. By using these modalities, she has the ability to affect all levels of tissues, effectively relieving pain, improving mobility, and restoring health and vitality.

Sam has worked part time at the Vernon massage therapy college since 2006. She has supervised practical rotations and continues to Teacher Assist in the Musculoskeletal class, where students learn how to palpate structures of the body.
