Big Data, and specifically Healthcare Big Data, might be here as the next big thing, but understanding the pros and cons of big data and the limitations of Big Data has driven stakeholders in the healthcare space in demanding information and data that is reliable, granular, and actionable. This type of information has been traditionally elusive, and is not found within the published medical literature. There are plenty of medical papers on big data, but it is incumbent on the reader to critically understand and view these data with scrutiny. Publicly available data only has so much in the way of patient specific information, and more than likely broad trends are more likely reportable.
With the number of medical centers that patients have choice with, it is no wonder that healthcare information is difficult to be collated and shared! With these inherent challenges of sharing data for patient good, the process stagnates, and vital information may be difficult to find. We recognize these difficulties and have embarked on a vision to provide the highest quality information possible.
