The MLG Legacy Scholarship was established in 2019 by Mary L Grady's Granddaughter, Kya, in honor of her loving memory.

On September 11, 2018, Mary passed away leaving behind a strong legacy of goodwill through her charitable contributions to underprivileged children, her dedication as a foster mother, as well as service to her community and to people of all ages.

The purpose of the fund is to award scholarships to a deserving High School Senior in good academic standing. The fund will also provide a limited quantity of gifts and toys to underprivileged children during the holiday season.

• Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Must complete a Personal Statement paper that addresses the following:
  1. Your essay should be 1 page, 12 point Times New Roman font.
  2. Your educational and career goals must be included.
  3. Any life experiences which have influenced this decision.
  4. Any extra-curricular activities and accomplishments (e.g. honors, accolades, awards, community involvement, service and volunteer actions, student activities, school and club involvement, sports participation, hobbies, etc.)
  5. Anything else you feel the Scholarship Committee needs to know about you in order to present yourself as the best candidate for a scholarship.
