Founded in 1909, the Italian Chemical Society (Società Chimica Italiana – SCI) unites over 4600 members from academia, research, industry, and more. Their common goal is advancing chemistry for national cultural and economic development, improving human life, and protecting the environment. The SCI is a scientific association with over four thousand members with the aims to:
Favour and increase scientific research in all fields of chemistry;
Disseminate the knowledge of chemistry and the importance of its applications in the context of the progress and well-being of humanity;
Promote the study of chemistry in universities and schools of all levels;
Favour the development of science in every field.
The Partners carry out their activities in Universities and research institutions, schools, industries, public and private research and control laboratories, and the free profession. Thus, they contribute to the national community's cultural and economic growth, improving the quality of human life and protecting the environment.

The Società Chimica Italiana-SCI invites you to the SCI2024 – XXVIII National Congress (Conference & Exhibition) scheduled from August 26th to August 30th, 2024, at the Allianz MiCo Congress Center in Milan. The theme of the event is “Chemistry: Elements of the Future”. The SCI National Congress represents the main Chemistry event in Italy.
