About Us

NGCについて

Next-Generation Cupは栄光学園英語部主催の英語ディベート大会です。

本⼤会は勝ちや優勝を⽬指すことに重きをおいた競技的⼤会ではなく、⼀⼈⼀⼈の中学⽣、⾼校⽣ディベーターの⼒を伸ばすことに焦点をおく教育的な⼤会を趣旨として⾏っています。

2021年の春にNGCの前身となるKanagawa Junior High Practice Matchを運営し、その経験を踏まえ同年夏に一回目のNext-Generation Cupを実施いたしました。

次回のNGCにも奮ってご参加ください。

＜高校生の部＞

Round1: THBT the depiction of the everyday lives of people with disabilities as inspirational does more good than harm.

Round2: THBT LGBTQ movement should not glorify coming out.

Round3: THW set consumption tax at rates in proportion to the environmental impacts of the goods (low tax for low-impact goods, high tax for high-impact goods).

＜中学生の部＞

Round1: Automatic driving cars do more good than harm.

Round2: Compulsory voting should be introduced.

Round1: Schools should remove all restrictions on students' appearance.

Round2: Student A should choose start-ups rather than traditional paths.

(Info: Student A is a tealented student of a top-ranking university in Student A's country. / Students who choose a "traditional path" aim to become employees of large corporations and work their way up the ladder. / Students who choose a "start-up" aim to gather talented people and then establish a new business together.)
