The upcoming 2026 show season brings a lot of changes to the Morgan horse world. Between USEF and AMHA rule updates, new horses, and the focus of this blog post: new age groups, there is a lot that isn't concrete in the Morgan community. So, we interviewed someone who has experienced all of these while remaining a successful and strong rider throughout. Whether these insights are all completely new or there are some you have heard before, I believe that everything can be applied to many of the changes in your equestrian career. As in the last post, if you have any topics you want to see covered, please reach out to me at emilykatysandy@gmail.com. Without further ado, our spring blog post is dedicated to an experienced junior exhibitor, both in riding and driving, with her horse or on a catch ride: Fiona Cudmore
Guiding my horse every step of the way while still having fun!
Staying composed and collected while having consistent rides at horse shows.
Spending time with my friends, Reading the write ups from the magazines, and looking at fabric swatches for day coats!
During off season my favorite thing to do is learn new skills no matter what discipline or horse it is.
I do online school so while I'm at horse shows when school is still in session I can do school while at the horse shows.
Make a lot of friends, ask questions, and read The Morgan Horse magazine, you can find some cool information in there.
