When you create an account, we use **Google Firebase Authentication**. We collect your:
* **Name:** To identify you to your friends on the platform.
* **Email Address:** Used as your primary login identifier and for password recovery.
* **Passwords:** Passwords are encrypted and handled securely directly by Firebase. We never see or store your raw password.
**B. Financial & App Data:**
To allow you to track personal expenses and split bills with friends across devices, we collect and store:
* The transaction amounts, titles, and dates you input.
* The names/emails of the friends you split expenses with inside the app.
* Settle-up transaction records.
All of this data is securely transmitted and stored using **Google Firebase Cloud Firestore**.
## 2. Third-Party Services We Use
Our app utilizes third-party services that may collect information used to identify you to ensure the app functions securely and reliably.
The third-party service providers used by NEXO include:
* **Google Play Services**
* **Google Analytics for Firebase**
* **Firebase Crashlytics**
* **Firebase Authentication**
* **Firebase Cloud Firestore**
These providers have their own Privacy Policies addressing how they use such information.
## 3. Data Storage and Security
We value your trust in providing us with your personal information. All your data is stored on secure Google Firebase servers. We employ Firebase's standard security rules, encryption over HTTPS, and authentication protocols to prevent unauthorized access.
While we use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
## 4. Data Deletion Rights
You have the right to request the complete deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.
* **In-App:** If you have added a delete account button, you can delete your account directly inside the app settings.
* **Via Email:** You can request account and data deletion by emailing us directly at **[ email_address ]**. Once requested, we will manually wipe your user profile, friends list, and financial records from our Firebase database within 7 days.
## 5. Children’s Privacy
NEXO does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13 (or higher age threshold depending on your country). If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to take the necessary actions.
