Welcome to NexaServe ("CheckIn", "we", "our", or "us"). Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our mobile application ("App").
By downloading, installing, or using NexaServe, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please do not use our App.
We collect the following information that you voluntarily provide:
Emergency Contact Name: To identify your designated safety contact (stored locally on device only)
Emergency Contact Email: To send automated safety alerts (stored locally on device only)
Check-In Timestamps: To track check-ins and calculate safety intervals (stored locally on device only)
Check-In History: To display activity and maintain records (stored locally on device only)
Check-In Status: To determine if emergency notifications are needed (stored locally on device only)
We do NOT collect:
Location or GPS data
Contacts from your address book
Photos, media, or files
Browsing history
Device identifiers (IMEI, Advertising ID)
Financial or payment information
Health or biometric data
Social media account information
Usage analytics or tracking data
Safety Monitoring: Track daily check-ins and monitor the 48-hour safety window
Emergency Alerts: Send automated email notifications to your emergency contact if you fail to check in
Reminders: Send local push notifications reminding you to check in
We do NOT use your data for:
Advertising or marketing purposes
Behavioral profiling or analysis
Selling to third parties
Research or analytics
Any purpose beyond core safety functionality
All personal data is stored exclusively on your device using encrypted local database technology (Room Database). We do not maintain external servers or cloud storage for your personal information.
Important Notice:
Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all your data
Your data is not backed up to any cloud service by us
Your data cannot be accessed from other devices
Local Encryption: Data stored in encrypted SQLite database
No Cloud Storage: No personal data transmitted to external servers
Secure Communications: Email alerts use TLS/SSL encrypted SMTP connections
Minimal Data Collection: Only essential data for app functionality
When emergency alerts are triggered, we use Google's Gmail SMTP service to send emails. This transmission includes:
Emergency contact's email address (recipient)
Emergency contact's name (in email body)
Automated safety alert message
This is the only instance where any data leaves your device.
We do NOT:
Sell personal information to third parties
Share data with advertisers
Use third-party analytics or tracking services
Integrate with social media platforms
Share data with data brokers
The App requires the following permissions:
INTERNET: To send emergency email alerts via secure SMTP (Required)
POST_NOTIFICATIONS: To display check-in reminders and alerts (Required)
Your data is retained on your device for as long as the App is installed. There is no automatic data expiration.
To delete your data:
Uninstall App: All data permanently and immediately deleted
Clear App Data: All history and contact information deleted
App Settings: Delete history or modify emergency contact
We do not retain any backup copies on external servers.
You have the following rights:
Access: View your data directly within the App
Correction: Update emergency contact information through the App
Deletion: Uninstall the App or clear App data
Portability: Data stored locally; you control your device
Opt-Out: Uninstall the App to stop all data collection
NexaServe is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us immediately.
Since all personal data is stored locally on your device:
No international data transfers occur for storage purposes
Emergency email alerts are transmitted via Google's SMTP infrastructure, which may route through international servers
By using the App, you consent to the transmission of alert emails through international infrastructure.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When changes are made:
The "Last Updated" date will be revised
Significant changes will be notified through the App
Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated policy
We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy regularly.

Legitimate Interest: Safety monitoring serves your vital interests
Performance of Contract: Processing necessary for core functionality
