Pastor Ross Daughtery was born in Graham, Texas, and moved to Wichita Falls, Texas during childhood.
As a young boy, he spent many evenings and summers attending the local Boys Club and YMCA. Ross enjoyed playing basketball, his favorite sport. He also played football. Ross graduated S.H. Rider High School in 1975. After moving to Dallas, he attended El Centro Community College. After college, he returned to Wichita Falls and worked for Pittsburg Paint and Glass Company (PPG) for thirteen years.
In 1979, he surrendered his life to Jesus Christ. He faithfully served with Eastside Baptist Church in Wichita Falls, Texas under Pastor David P. Williams. It was there Ross was licensed and ordained to preach the Word of God in August 1982. His service to the church and surrounding communities included one year as NAACP president for the Wichita Falls Chapter, as well as being an active member in local voter registration campaigns. Ross Daughtery was called to Pastor Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Henrietta, Texas July of 1986. He remained there until early 1990.
Pastor Daughtery currently Pastors the New Zion Baptist Church in New Boston, Texas. His passion is working with and supporting the youth. He holds the office of President of the Greater New Boston Fellowship and has taught the Vacation Bible School youth classes for 26 years. Pastor Daughtery was among the founders of the Christian Coalition for Unity (CCU) and serves as Vice President of this organization and the New Boston community. He is active in Zion District Association and teaches youth classes during the annual summer seasons.
In his spare time, he enjoys fishing and gardening. Pastor Daughter founded REK Computers and Choice of Financial Freedom (stock investment club).
Pastor Daughtery has been married to his wife Rosie Daughtery for 30 years. He has four beautiful daughters and one son. Pastor Daughtery cherishes the memory of his son Daniel Daughtery whom he holds close to his heart.
