New York

The City of New York, often called New York City or simply New York, is the most populous city in the United States. The popular name of NYC is Big Apple, there are a lot of stories about its name. The number of people who live there is 8,537,673. New York City is very popular among tourists who come to sightsee a great number of modern buildings. Unfortunately, the most famous landmark, Wolrld Trade Center was destroyed during the terrorist attack on September 11th 2001. If you want to visit NYC you have to apply for the American Visa what isn't easy.

The Statue of Liberty was a gift from France to the States in the 19th century. It is situated on the Liberty Island and if you want to get there you must embark on a ferry. The view from the torch above is awesome.

Central Park - the city park in New York which is an oasis of greenery. Located in the center of Manhattan .

Cathedral of St. Patrick's - Manhattan in New York, seat of the Archbishop of New York. The largest neo-gothic Catholic temple in North America

Empire State Building - the tallest building in New York built in 1931. One of the most recognizable symbols of the city.

Time Square - This is one of the icons of New York. It is famous for a great number of light ads. Every New Year's Eve in Times Square a New Year's celebration is held. The ceremony with the participation of the biggest music stars is broadcast for about 1 billion viewers. New Year's Eve in Times Square is also considered the largest in the world.

Trump Tower - a 202-meter skyscraper, owned by the Trump Organization, while being its headquarters. It is named after one of the owners and founders, the American billionaire and the US President Donald Trump.

National September 11 Memorial and Museum - The place where Americans commerate the people who were killed during the terrorist attacks on 11th September 2001.

Brooklyn Bridge - one of the oldest bridges in the world. It spans the New York districts of Brooklyn and Manhattan, which are separated by East River. The construction of the bridge was completed in 1883. It was then one of the largest steel suspension bridges in the world

Brooklyn is sometimes called a city of trees or a city of houses. This is due to the fact that this district is a "bedroom" for residents who work in Manhattan and live in Brooklyn.
