With over 50 members ranging in age from 13 to 90+, the NUMB practices weekly from March through July and plays weekly concerts in German Park in New Ulm from late May through early August. The Band has travelled to Chicago and throughout Germany. Playing a wide range of repertoire, from ethnic German and Bavarian music, to show tunes, Americana, folk medleys, patriotic and standard wind band pieces, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Nothing is more civilized than sitting in a lawn chair in the shade on a warm summer evening, listening to band music, with a fountain gurgling and children playing in the background. Once in a while, the Band even takes a pause while a train passes by. The band also plays in the local celebration of Germanic enthnicity, Bavarian Blast, and for a celebration of the landmark statue, Herman the German in September.

Playing during the Bavarian Blast Parade. The Trombone line at Thunder in the Valley in September.
